"If you would hit the mark, you must aim a little above it." - Henry Longfellow

There's no shame in not meeting all of our goals, as long as our goals make us stretch.  If we want to do "Angie" RX then we would set a realistic time based on how many reps we can do unbroken.  Setting goals is directly related to past experiences and accomplishments.  So today when you attempt "Angie", set a goal and hold yourself to it.

What is your goal?  Post it before you do the WOD!  Challenge yourself to hit it?

BENCHMARK DAY - ANGIE

100 PULL-UPS

100 PUSH-UPS

100 SIT-UPS

100 SQUATS

*For those who want to just have a little more and have decided to drink the "crazy kool-aid" - go ahead and do "Running with Angie" - 1 Mile between each 100 Sets!

5. when i first got to cf this morning at 6 i wanted very badly to be able to step up and do the running in addition to the regular Angie. I didn't want to be the person who didn't take "the option". But I reined my ego in and re-focused on where I am, not where my ego wants me to be. I did all 100 pullups with out a band. it wasnt pretty, it took me a long time, and my hands were bleeding through the tape but i did not quit. when i started 5 months ago i could not do a single pull up even with a band. in my desire to excel I almost forgot to be excited & proud of where I am compared to where i was. and if i have come this far, imagine where i will be in 5 more months.... appreciate the journey friends!! & ps- you all that did do the running as well are total super star badAsses!!!

6. That's what I'm talking 'bout, a little chatter. Shannon, you are a bad ass too and what you expressed is exactly the true spirit of a CrossFitter.

7. Shannon- you are such an amazing person- I love your drive and determination! I know you have a lot to handle right now and just know that your friends at crossfit are keeping you in our thoughts! Stay strong and thanks for all your hard work!

8. Unfortunately I can't say the same Shannon. It took me a really long time to complete the workout and I went from no band, to blue, then green then jumping pullups but I did my 100. It is amazing to me where I have come in the past 7 weeks. I was totally out of shape (and still am compared to the rest of you) but got through the workout including the runs. I appreciate your post Shannon. I will be happy if I have made as much progress as you have in 5 months.

9. Aight then. 6am crew was a good mix. Lots of peeps stepped up on the running and Shannon, you did great. Your progress is an inspiration for the whole crew. This place is about achieving personal goals. Being inspired by those around you is part of the bonus plan! John, game on, you didn't quit, you kept it going, that's the point. Next time, one less band, then no band. it's on!
