Marine Staff Sgt Daniel Hansen died February 14th in Farah Providence, Afghanistan when an IED he was working on detonated. Daniel is survived by his mother Sheryll, his father Delbert, his younger sister Katie, and his twin brother Matthew (also a Marine).

As each athlete at USCF continues to push themselves harder and make greater gains, it is apparent that heart, passion, and inner drive is pushing new boundaries.  Great quotes from our USCF  members on setting the bar of pushing beyond average! Quotes taken from posts:

Shout out to Colin in the noon class AGAIN for going RX+ on the thrusters! 50#!!! Way to kick ass Colin! -Comment by Darby

All 400 runs during the first year at USCF were to the Look Out. I vote to bring back this standard.-Comment by Todd

Todd killed the running with angie, though we did it with 3 miles, not 4. Next time, next time. tonight was awesome. Caleb kept us all moving, good times. Glen, Ben, Brian all put out solid efforts. Good on ya.-Comment by sl

9. Dang, I'll be at CrossFitSanDiego tomorrow, hopefully they will do a hero workout. What the hell is a Mangurph? I get Murphy but not the rest. If I was here, I would vote for Fight Gone BAD.

10. Great work out today. Thanks Dan for all your knowledge and encouragement. You add a dimension that can only positively influence US Crossfit. I agree with Christine, tomorrow is a special day for veteran's, let all remember them, they keep our country free. Peace will occur when we own and live our own peacefulness.

13. So is Mangurph a combination of Angie and Murph? How about "Running with Mangurph"? 'Cause I'm pretty sure that would be amazing.
Comment by Amanda — November 10, 2009 at 8:42pm
14. MURPH. At a place like USCF, it seems fitting to honor a man who was a Navy Seal. His sacrifice and selfless heroism is representative of all these men.

Todd, Fight Gone Bad is not a hero WOD.... and who ho is Angie?

Comment by christine — November 10, 2009 at 8:49pm
15. "Who ho"? Are you saying Angie is a ho, not a hero WOD?
Comment by Amanda — November 10, 2009 at 8:52pm
16. Murph with 2 lookout runs in the middle and to the beach on the runs.
Comment by AT — November 10, 2009 at 9:48pm

18. All with a 20# vest? I think Murph would of liked it. Let's do it. What time are you coming Adam?
Comment by christine — November 10, 2009 at 10:29pm
