Group Class Descriptons
FOUNDATION and ELEMENTS
These are the introductory programs that will assess your fitness level and goals, as well as teach you the foundational movements of crossfit in a semi-private class setting with a certified trainer. The programs will give you a comprehensive understanding of the CrossFit program and ensures you learn the techniques properly and safely so that you will be able to seamlessly integrate into all of the other Crossfit classes. We require completion of the either FOUNDATIONS or ELEMENTS prior to joining a membership program.
CrossFit - a constantly varied, functional conditioning / cardio class that delivers great all around fitness! It is a program that is broad and diverse and specializes in not specializing! Everyday is a new workout that will challenge all fitness levels from beginner to elite athlete because the workouts are scalable. Expect something new every-time! Suitable for all levels.
Power CrossFit
This class emphasizes strength and power. It is a scalable class that includes all the great aspects of CrossFit but the workouts will focus on body alignment, building functional strength and power using Olympic lifting techniques. The end result is improved functional strength and power, toned core muscles groups, which will improve athleticism. It is scalable and great for all levels of participants after completing the elements class. Suitable for intermediate or advanced CrossFit members.
Warrior Yoga - What happens when you blend yoga with different martial arts styles? A phenomenal workout that combines a cardiovascular component with strength, speed, flexibility and meditatiion. This class can improve alignment, balance and decrease stress leaving you relaxed and recharged. Suitable for intermediate to advanced students.
Ashtanga Yoga
An innovative yoga class based on the Ancient Ashtanga Yoga Practice introduced to the United States right here in Encinitas, Ca. The class modifies the Ashtanga First Series into a dynamic and challenging flow that is an excellent compliment to CrossFit. It will make you more flexible, develop your balance, core strength, stamina, awareness and peace of mind. Suitable for all levels.
FIT (functional interval training)
Is a fun, challenging and dynamic class that accomplishes optimal fitness utilizing a wide variety of equipment and techniques designed to challenge cardiovascular endurance agility and balance. FIT classes use a technique called HIIT (high intensity interval training), which means you work really hard for a few seconds or minutes and then take a break. FIT Classes can include anything from jumping rope, plyometrics, sports drills, medicine balls and running. The location will be varied and include both Indoor and outdoor environments so be prepared. The class is scalable and open to all fitness levels.
Crossfit Weekend Workout
This is our weekend workout that changes locations and offers a great introduction to what USCossFit is all about. If you think you want to try CrossFit, this is our complimentary class so join us! Again the classes are scalable and diverse so whether you are a novice or elite athlete we promise that we will challenge you and you will have fun!
